Brand founder and designer Jeannette Lloyd-Cowley (Jan) launched Blossom Cape Town in 2009, beginning with artisanal baby accessories before branching into handbags inspired by her grandmother’s style. Her shoe line was born through a partnership with one of Cape Town’s few manufacturing cobblers, resulting in Blossom’s signature contemporary-meets-retro designs: sharp-toe flats, classic brogues, and Victorian-style lace-up boots.

Each piece is handmade in Cape Town using a small-batch, personal approach, combining local leather with vibrant African wax prints, Shweshwe, and dark-romance patterns like skull-and-roses.
